BackIraq's engineering contracting market value reaches $429 billion as of June 2026
Shafaq News reported, citing project data from MEED (Middle East Economic Digest), that during the period from May 15 to June 19, 2026, Iraq added $12 billion in new contracting projects, a month-on-month increase of 2.8%. The growth was mainly driven by the North Oil Company's approximately $3 billion integrated development project for the Ajeel oil field, which entered the study phase.
Iraq continues to maintain its position as the third largest engineering project market in the Middle East, with its total engineering contracting project value reaching $429 billion.
